Welcome to Lune Maiko!
This is a private vacation home for the Yamazaki family’s friends and family only.
As mentioned on the homepage, this is not a commercial Airbnb-style rental. This website exists simply to share information, check availability, and submit stay requests. If the online system feels like a hassle, feel free to just contact us directly.
A few important notes:
- We’ve only shared this place with a small circle of friends, so please do not share this page or recommend the property to others.
- Please bring your own bed sheets and towels.
- Take your trash home with you or dispose of it in the designated bins.
- Clean the space so it’s in the same condition (or better!) than when you arrived.
- Before leaving, please follow the departure checklist and send us photos or a quick video of the house. (Unlike Airbnb, there isn’t a cleaning crew coming after you, so we really appreciate your help keeping the place nice for everyone.)
- No bbq (it's a hassle...) and no fireworks in the garden - you can do fireworks (sparklers) outside in front of the sea.
- To make sure our family and other friends can also enjoy the space, we kindly ask that you limit your stay to one booking at a time and a maximum of 4 consecutive nights. If you’d like to stay longer, please contact us to discuss.
The system we use looks like a typical booking site, so you might see things like “fees” or “cancellation charges” pop up. Ignore those—they don’t apply here!

✅ Before You Leave
Two days before your departure, you’ll automatically receive this checklist by email.
- Did you take home your own sheets and towels?
- Did you return any house linens to their original places?
- Since salt air damages the exterior, did you spray down the AC outdoor unit with the garden hose?
- Are all windows and blinds closed?
- Did you put the outdoor sandals back in the indoor basket?
- Did you store any outdoor chairs/tables back in the shed? ⭐️ (The wind here is strong—please double check nothing is left outside!)
- Did you turn off the gas?
- Did you replace the drain net in the bathroom?
- If you used the bath, did you clean the drain under the net?
- Did you clean the kitchen sink and replace its drain net?
- Did you wash and put away all dishes?
- If you used the airbeds, did you deflate and fold them back into place?
- Lastly: vacuum, clean the toilet and bathroom sink.
- If you couldn’t take your trash out, please take it home with you.
- Send us photos or a video of the house before you leave.
Thank you for helping us keep Lune Maiko a relaxing and beautiful spot for everyone to enjoy!
